Starley "Ray" Perry Sr.'s Obituary
PERRY, Starley “Ray” Sr., age 69, of Lebanon, passed away on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at home surrounded by his loved ones.
Ray was an excellent auto body repairman and painter for over 40 years. He enjoyed the great outdoors. He especially liked fishing and hiking at Caesar Creek Lake. In addition, he also loved driving around and sightseeing. He collected anything and everything. He was a big family man who loved his children and grandchild. He ensured they always had holidays, birthdays, and casual dinners. He was a jokester who had a very playful side, always antics up his sleeve, and a smile on his face.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hansel and Margaret Perry; one brother, Russell Clark Sr.; and a brother-in-law, Howard “Junior” Wheelen. He is survived by his son, Starley “Buster” (Amanda) Perry Jr.; one daughter, Mary (Douglas) McGowan; one grandson, Mason Perry; two sisters, Esther Wheelen and Dolores Shaffer; and significant other, Theresa Gamble.
A celebration of life service will be held at 3 PM on Sunday, September 24, at Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home in Waynesville. Life Celebrant Katie Mackoway will be officiating the services.
