My condolences to Susan’s family, friends and all who were fortunate to have had her in their life. I have so many memories that it is difficult to just choose one. We met in nursing school and became fast friends almost immediately. She and Lee were present for so many special events in my 3 children’s lives that they were considered a part of the family. We never lost touch even when Bud’s career took us out of the country for a number of years. Then, as the fates would have it, that same career took us to Maine when Susan and Lee were still living there. A number of years after Susan’s breast cancer journey I too was diagnosed with the same thing. She was one of the first persons I called. Her kind and loving words of encouragement helped me tremendously as I navigated through my own journey. I loved this beautiful lady as if she was my sister and part of her will alway live in my heart. Farewell sweet soul until we meet again.❤️
Susan has been on my mind a lot lately but i had no idea she was in hospice. I worked for Susan as her administrative assistant when MSI/Anova was located in Milo. When Susan learned that I was planning on getting married, she insisted the ceremony and reception take place in the Duff home in Brownville. She and Lee stood up with us. Tuesday, please accept my condolences for you and the family. Susan, may you rest in peaceful sleep.
Mrs duff, because that’s how I knew her, Mrs Duff, she was a giant part of my life. When she was in nursing school with my mom, she was there, catching me skipping school. She was there when I got married, she organized everything, she was there when I had children, she was always there for me. She was always joy. She will be in my heart , forever. I will miss her forever.
Susan was a very special lady with a life well lived... I'm sure she's in the arms of the angels now.
Susan was also my boss, best friend and partner in crime. We had so much fun together and I cherish the memories. She will always have a special place in my heart.
