Teresa "Terry" L. Shaw's Obituary
SHAW, Teresa “Terry” L., age 69, of Waynesville, passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2026, at Atrium Medical Center in Middletown.
Terry graduated from Lebanon High School, class of 1973. She dedicated many years of service to her community, retiring in 2019, after more than 10 years with the Warren County Auditor’s Office, where she specialized in dog tags, liquor licenses, and vending licenses. In addition, she served as an office manager for over 15 years with Dr. Robert Davis chiropractor office in Lebanon.
Terry lived life with a sense of adventure and joy. She loved motorcycle rides along country roads, feeling the wind in her hair, and embraced every opportunity to travel, including a memorable trip out west. She found happiness in cooking and flower gardening, and nothing brought her more joy than time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. Terry was known for bringing everyone together, whether around family dinners featuring her homemade biscuits and gravy, cooking fish over an open fire, wild game, or sharing her favorite treats like chocolate cake and cherry pie. She cherished family reunions, treasured heirlooms and knick-knacks, and took great pride in her children and grandchildren. Terry was a devoted wife, a loving mother and grandmother, a loyal friend, and someone always willing to help others. She looked forward to attending family reunions. She could be a bit stubborn at times, but that same strength was part of what made her so special. Her husband often said she was the best person he could have ever chosen to be the mother of his children. Among many things, Terry will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family, her adventurous spirit, and her ability to bring people together.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harley and Virginia Hobson; her brother, Tom Hobson; and her sister, Gina Hobson McGeorge. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Aaron; her son, Ryan (Terrell) Shaw; her daughter, Melissa (Chris) Brewer; her nine grandchildren, Chase, Madison, Katelyn, Lilly, Kayla (Lance), Nathan, Trinity, Trista, and Harley Rae; her three great-grandchildren, Zaiden, Maverick, and Sutton; and her sister, Linda (Dave) Wolf.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home in Waynesville is serving the family. If desired, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association. Condolences may be expressed to the family at https://www.stubbsconner.com.
