Theodore "Ted" Miller's Obituary
MILLER, Theodore “Ted”, age 89, of Wilmington, passed away on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at his cherished home after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
He was born on December 11, 1936, to Chester D. & Thelma (née Turner) Miller in Greene County, Ohio. Ted graduated from Waynesville High School, class of ’56. He honorably served his country in the United States Air Force. He later retired from American Tool after more than 25 years of dedicated service as a skilled tool and die maker. Ted took great pride in his craft and was known for his patience and strong work ethic.
A talented woodworker, Ted created beautiful household furniture that will be treasured by his family for generations. His passions extended far beyond the workshop. Farming was at the heart of who he was, from tending fields of hay, corn, and beans to raising cattle and hogs. He enjoyed watching harness racing and attending farm auctions.
Of all his accomplishments, Ted was most proud of his family. He was humble, logical, and deeply caring. Ted had a gentle way of using humor to offer perspective and guidance. His thankful spirit and unwavering love will remain a lasting legacy.
He is survived by his spouse of 62 years, Karen (Fox) Miller; his son, Steven Miller (Ati Hunter); his two daughters, Terri Collins (Abraham Arnold) and Lynette (David) Zook; his three grandchildren, Garrett (Audrea) Collins, Kylie Zook, and Daniel Zook; and his three great-grandchildren, Greyson Collins, Aveyah Collins, and Daxton Collins. He is also survived by two brothers, Fred (Juanita) Miller and Gene Miller, and by many nieces and nephews. Ted was preceded in death by his parents, Chester D. and Thelma Miller; four brothers, Chester, Don, Dan, and Tom Miller; and his sister, Martha Wolf.
Funeral services will be at 11:30 am on Monday, February 16, 2026, at Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home in Waynesville. Pastor Steve Sabin will be officiating. Burial will be at Miami Cemetery in Corwin. The family will receive friends from 9:30 am to 11:30 am on Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Blanchester, 304 W.
