Thomas Lynn Beam's Obituary
BEAM, Thomas Lynn, age 80, of Lebanon and formerly of Rushville, Indiana, passed away on Friday, July 26, 2024, surrounded by his loved ones.
Thomas had been a truck driver for over 40 years and was very proud of his accomplishment of becoming an operations manager at Cincinnati Freight Expeditors.
Creating beautiful things with his hands was one of his talents, primarily through woodworking. He enjoyed watching Westerns and driving out to Ross County during the summer to get the best sweet corn in the area. His true passion was fishing; if he could fish year-round, he would have. Caesar Creek Lake was one of his favorite places to put the boat in during fishing excursions. He had a soft spot for animals, especially his dogs. Peanut and his current dog, Angel, were cherished companions of his.
As a man of few words, he always brought comfort to the room when he was around. He was extremely family-oriented and loved when everyone could get together. He collected family memorabilia and any little treasure that reminded him of where he came from. Thomas always could bring people together and loved the sense of community. He even bought a corn hole set so all the neighbors could spend time together. Among many things, he will be remembered for how proud he was of his three sons and his grandchildren.
Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, William and Vera Beam. He is survived by his three sons, Terry (Carrie) Beam, Bryan Beam, and Thomas (Angela) Beam Jr; six grandchildren, Bethany Hornburger, Lyndsey Hamlin, Sarah Beam, DJ Beam, Ashton Beam, and Alyssa Beam; three great-grandchildren, Ronnie, Jack, and Lucy; and two sisters, Jerry Helfer and Faith (Lenny) Lawrence.
The burial and graveside service will be at 3 pm on Thursday, August 1, at Miami Cemetery in Corwin. Katie Mackoway will officiate the celebration of Thomas’s life. Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home in Waynesville is serving the family. If desired, contributions may be made to Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton. Condolences at www.stubbsconner.com.
