Thomas McDonald's Obituary
McDONALD, Thomas L. age 63 of Waynesville passed away Thurs. Aug. 5, 2010 at his residence. Tom was born Feb. 1, 1947 to James and Goldie McDonald. He retired from Rosenthal Printing in 1999 after 20 years of service. He was a member of the Waynesville American Legion Post 615. The self proclaimed mayor of Mt. Holly, he enjoyed country music and hunting. He was preceded in death by two brothers Jimmy and John McDonald and one sister Pauline Talbert White. He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Sharon; seven children Jim (Sharonda) Johnson, Mandy (Chris) Elton, Denny (Lyn) Johnson, Margie (Jerrod) Bradley, April Potter, Gary (Cheryl) Cox, and Heather (Jeff) Kane; 15 grandchildren; one brother Raymond (Sandy) McDonald; four sisters Marty (Jess) Cornett, Goldie (Tim) Howard, Mary (Jim) Farley, and Bert (Rock) Rockhold; and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Funeral services were 11 AM Mon. Aug. 9 at Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home, Waynesville. Burial Miami Cemetery, Corwin. The family received friends 5-8 PM Sun. at the funeral home.
