Thomas G. Wooldridge's Obituary
WOOLDRIDGE, Thomas G., age 78, of Nashville, TN and formerly of Peterstown, WV, passed away Fri., Oct. 25, 2019.
Tom attended Bluefield State College and Concord College. He retired from Metro Water Services with the city of Nashville in 2012 after 38 years of service. He was also licensed to sell insurance in the state of Tennessee.
He was an active member of the Brentwood United Methodist Church in TN, where he was an active participant in Sunday School, a member of the Spirited Singles group. He was also a regular attendee of his 1961 Peterstown, WV high school class reunion, and a willing contributor in his coffee group.
Friendly, outgoing, and health-minded, Tom was a simple man with lots of friends. He greatly enjoyed Vanderbilt football, walking around Radnor Lake, and spending time with his many friends and church family. He also enjoyed spending the holidays and vacations with his nephew Robert’s family.
He was preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Jane Wooldridge, one brother Henry Wooldridge, and his aunt Lillie Wooldridge. He is survived by one brother Bill (Connie) Wooldridge; two nephews Robert (Amy) Wooldridge and Steven Wooldridge; and two nieces April (Phillip) Vaught And Victoria (Aaron) Wilson.
A memorial service will be held 11 AM Fri., Nov. 22 at Brentwood United Methodist Church in TN. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service Fri. at the church. Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home in Waynesville, OH is serving the family. Condolences at www.stubbsconner.com.
