Todd Patton's Obituary
PATTON, Todd, age 61, of Waynesville, passed away Monday, July 10, 2023, at his residence with family by his side.
Todd worked for 20 years as a painter for the Atrium Medical Center in Middletown. In addition, he owned and operated Patton’s Painting for over 20 years. He was an active and faithful member of Anchor of Hope Church in Lebanon, where he served on the board and played the guitar during worship services.
Loving and caring, Todd was a good listener who liked to talk and tell jokes. He was a friend to everyone and never hesitated to say to others that he cared for them, especially the grandchildren he adored. He was a lifelong sports fan and was always proud of his high school years when he played on the football team. Todd greatly enjoyed bluegrass music and even played in a band for a while. His other hobbies included coon hunting with family, riding his Harley Davidson out on the country roads, gardening, and in recent years, fishing with his grandchildren. One of his most significant accomplishments of late included the restoration of his ’79 red Corvette with the help of his brothers.
Todd loved summertime, especially being out in the sun and sitting on his front porch. He went on several trips over the years, including those to Gatlinburg in Tennessee, Charleston in South Carolina with his daughter and son-in-law, and visiting the beach with family. He took immense pride in his family heritage and found great joy with his church family. Time spent with his family, especially those grandkids, were the memories he held closest to his heart. Todd will always be remembered for his love of grilling at home, especially his pork chops and steaks. In addition, his cowboy boots collection, his love of wearing Hawaiian shirts, and his love of Mt. Dew will always be associated by his family when thinking of him.
He was preceded in death by his dad, Ray Patton, and his mom, Effie Patton. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Brenda; son, Jay (April) Patton; daughter, Lacey (E.J.) Lamb; six grandchildren, Bella, Cayden, Reese, Carter, Hudson, and Stella; two brothers, Troy (Bonnie) Patton and Bryan (Berneda) Patton; and stepmom, Joyce Patton.
