Tom was an assistant principal at NIHS when I started working there in 2005 and we quickly became great friends. He was the grandfather I never had and gave me many life lessons that have made me a better person. He fed kids everyday and made sure they were okay at school. He set the example of what a good man should do for his family, friends, students, coworkers and people in need. The world lost a great man, one I will forever be proud to call my friend.
After reading Toms obituary there isn`t much anyone can add, he was our teacher and coach. Everyone loved Tom, he really cared about the kids, those of us who were lucky enough to have industrial arts learned the things we used all of our lives. Deepest sympathy to Norma, family, friends, and colleagues. I knew Tom when we were students at Morehead State University.....he was always so kind and had a beautiful smile for everyone who met him.He certainly enjoyed a wonderful career as an educator.....loving his family and community.🌷
