Troy Blaylock's Obituary
Blaylock, Troy, age 90, was born March 2, 1921, on Blaylock Mountain in Putnam County, Tennessee. One of eight children of Charlie Arthur Blaylock and Sallie Ann Cunningham Blaylock. One surviving brother Thurman Blaylock of Indiana. Troy served proudly during WWII with the Army in the South Pacific and retired from Chrysler Airtemp, Dayton, on Nov. 1, 1976. He married the love of his life Elvie Elline Walker in Rossville, GA, Sept. 23, 1943, who preceded him in death May 30, 2003. Survived by daughter, Carolyn (Bill) Smith, son Gary (Debra) Blaylock, grandsons Michael (Jeni) Shearer, Brian Shearer, Troy David Blaylock, and Tyler Blaylock, and great granddaughters Jordan & Megan Shearer. The family wishes to thank the many kindnesses of special neighbors Wanda & Keith and especially the very caring staff of AVALON of Centerville and Acclaim Hospice.
