Una V. Bishop's Obituary
BISHOP, Una V., age 78, of Waynesville and formerly of Lebanon, passed away Sunday, December 25, 2022, at Sycamore Hospital.
Una graduated from Waynesville High School, class of ’62. She retired in 1994 from the Warren County Water Department after nearly 30 years of service with the county. Over the years, she attended the Waynesville First Baptist Church and the Morning Star Baptist Church in Centerville.
Una was an independent and caring person who was also very outgoing. She had an appreciation for antiques, Elvis, and Dolly Parton. She always loved telling the story of seeing Elvis play live in concert during her younger days. She enjoyed shopping and collecting Longaberger baskets. It became a tradition for Una to attend the Ohio Sauerkraut Festival in Waynesville each October. She also enjoyed traveling back to her childhood home in White Oak, Kentucky, on a regular basis. Visiting family and the land she grew up on always reminded her of her fond childhood.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Iseral, in 1998; her parents, Luther and Allie Mullins; three brothers, Frank, Billy, and Jim Mullins; and two sisters, Daisy Smith and Dorothy Mullins. She is survived by two sons, Earl Phillips and Michael (Amanda) Bishop; two stepsons, Jim and Jerry Bishop; stepdaughter, Glendora (Orval) Pitcock; two grandchildren, Ellie Kate and Jackson Bishop; four step-grandchildren and their families, Brandon Bishop, Steve Bishop, Lucious Pitcock, and Graham Pitcock; and one sister, Ann Overbee.
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Friday, December 30, at Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home in Waynesville. Burial will be in Miami Cemetery, Corwin. Pastor Dale McCloud will be officiating the services. The family will receive friends 11 AM - 1 PM Friday at the funeral home. Condolences at www.stubbsconner.com.
