Verna Nelson's Obituary
NELSON, Verna A. age 92 of Spring Valley passed away Sat. March 31, 2007 at Hospice of Dayton. Verna was born Jan. 10, 1915 to Carl and Ella Stenslie in North Dakota. She greatly enjoyed bird watching, reading, and collecting bears. She was preceded in death by her husband William in 1999, a daughter Lois Thomas, one brother, and five sisters. She is survived by her three sons William and his wife Phyllis Nelson of Lynchburg, Arthur Nelson of Spring Valley, and James and his wife Carol Nelson of Harveysburg; three daughters Mary Nelson of Spring Valley, Verna and her husband Joe Meinhover of MN, and Luella Gruchalla of MN; 12 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends 1-2 pm Tues. April 3 at the Miami Cemetery Chapel in Corwin. Graveside services will immediately follow the visitation at the cemetery. Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home in Waynesville is serving the family.
