Vernon Huffman's Obituary
HUFFMAN, Vernon C., MSGT (USAF retired), age 80, of Waynesville and formerly of Pikeville, KY passed away Thurs. Dec. 30, 2010 at Quaker Heights Nursing Home, Waynesville. Born Aug. 29, 1930 to Virgil and Alla Huffman in Ripley, OH. A Korean Conflict and Vietnam veteran, Vernon served 22 years in the US Air Force and 20 years at CSX Railroad. He was preceded in death by his wife Rosalie in 2008, his parents, and one sister Dolores Coleman. He is survived by his three daughters Terry (Tim) Miller of Waynesville, Teena (Lloyd) Salisbury of Harold, KY, and Liz (Charlie) Adams of Dayton; son Vernon C. II (Wendy) Huffman of Hebron, KY; seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and one sister Linda (Charles) Tackett of Falmouth, KY. Funeral services 5 PM Sun. Jan. 2 at Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home, Waynesville. Pastor Todd Toole officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service Sun. at the funeral home.
