Vernon Napier's Obituary
NAPIER, Vernon age 89 of Waynesville passed away Thurs. April 11, 2013 at Quaker Heights Care Community, Waynesville. Vernon retired from Monsanto in 1986 after 28 years of service. He attended Samaria Primitive Baptist Church in Ransom, KY and Miami Primitive Baptist Church in Dayton. He was a collector of smoking pipes. Vernon was a good and honorable husband, dad, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was preceded in death by his son James Vernon Napier; two brothers Claude (his twin) and Greg Napier; six sisters Deloras Conley, Dale Brown, Pauline Grady, Annette Baldridge, Gladys Brackney, and Glenna Chambers; and his parents Alonzo and Ila Napier. He is survived by the love of his life Joann, married 63 years; two daughters Sharon (Ray) Wisby and Karen (Doug) Rasey; four grandchildren Jenny (Paul) Weaver, Jackie (Harry) Amann, Melissa (David) Cabrera, and Jason (Angie) Wright; eight great grandchildren; one brother Elmer (Grace) Napier; and one sister Erma Gayheart. Funeral services 1 PM Mon. April 15 at Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home, Waynesville. Burial Miami Cemetery, Corwin. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service Mon. at the funeral home.
