Vickie Jo Farley's Obituary
FARLEY, Vickie Jo, age 65, of Alexandria, KY, and formerly of Waynesville, passed away Sunday, June 26, 2022, at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood, KY.
Vickie retired as a certified nurse aid from home healthcare in 2002 after more than 25 years of service. She was a member of the Fellowship of Praise Church in Clarksville.
Kind, very thoughtful, and full of love, Vickie never met a stranger, was always happy, and always had a smile on her face. She helped anyone in need and always had her door open for those who needed a place to stay. Due to her loving heart and generosity, she raised many children that weren’t her own. One of her favorite things was adding to her collection of Native American memorabilia, anything from wolves, and dream catchers, to statues and figurines. Among many things, she will be remembered for being a huge fan of the Golden Girls and for how much she loved spending time with her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one daughter Rhonda Langford, one grandson Joseph Langford, her mother Mary Farley, brother James Stanley Farley III., and one brother-in-law Mike Greer. She is survived by her son James L. (Amy) Farley; one daughter Julie (Keith) Jones; 12 grandchildren; great-granddaughter Maddison Howard and one great-granddaughter on-the-way Stella; her father James Farley Jr.; and four sisters Mary (Rick) Harfield, Tina Farley-Huey, Tomi Farley, and Brenda Greer.
A memorial service will be held at 11 AM Saturday, July 9, at Stubbs- Conner Funeral Home in Waynesville. The family will receive friends from 10 - 11 AM Saturday at the funeral home. If desired, contributions may be made to the St. Elizabeth Hospice. Condolences at www.stubbsconner.com.
