Virginia "Ginger" Jackson's Obituary
JACKSON, Virginia “Ginger”, age 76, of Waynesville, passed away Thursday, February 29, 2024, at her residence.
Ginger drove a school bus for Clinton Massie Schools for 30 years, officially retiring in 2016. In addition, she assisted her husband on the farm and with his lawn care business for many years. She was a member of the Harvest Baptist Church in Waynesville.
Of all her hobbies and interests, Ginger will be most remembered by how much she loved and cared for her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Dawn Clements in 2021; her parents, William and Venida Wise; one brother, Rodney Wise; and one sister, Sondra Gross. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Donald; son, Steve (Christy) Jackson; grandchildren, Avery, Wyatt, Wade, Attlee, and Rubie Jackson; step-granddaughter, Hannah (Noah) Banks; son-in-law, Mike Clements; and two sisters, Joyce Jackson and Nieta Pearson.
Funeral services will be held 1 PM Tuesday, March 5 at Harvest Baptist Church in Waynesville. Burial will be in Springfield friends Church Cemetery. Ginger’s Son Pastor Steve Jackson will be officiating. The family will receive friends 11 AM - 1 PM Tuesday at Harvest Baptist Church. Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home in Waynesville is serving the family.
