Vivian I. Planck's Obituary
PLANCK, Vivian I., age 97, of Waynesville, passed away Monday, December 23, 2024, at Ohio Living Quaker Heights in Waynesville.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Robert Planck, in 2008; her parents Ward and Minnie Pummill; three brothers, Paul, Albert “Bud”, and Warren Pummill; and her sister, Norma White. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews, extended family members, and many friends and acquaintances.
Vivian worked for 20 years at the Waynesville Post Office and 10 years at KeyBank in Waynesville. She formerly attended Xenia First Church of Christ, Crossview Christian, and later Heritage Christian Church, Bellbrook. She was a hometown girl who was family-oriented, caring, outgoing, determined, helpful to others, ornery in a fun way and a friend to all. She loved all things Waynesville, including the people, the schools, the jobs she held, the people she worked with, and the businesses that kept and keep Waynesville a strong community. Athletic in her younger years, she enjoyed OSU football, Cincinnati Reds, and girls’ and boys’ little league baseball. Always learning, reading, socializing, and staying busy. She taught herself to master any computer, iPad, cell phone, or remote control that came her way. Never having children of her own, she couldn’t have been more loved by all of her nieces and nephews. We have lost a treasure, but we treasure the memories of the life well-lived.
The family will receive friends from 11 AM to Noon on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home in Waynesville. A celebration of life service will immediately follow the visitation at Noon on Saturday at the funeral home, with the procession and burial of the urn at Miami Cemetery in Corwin. If desired, contributions may be made to Heritage Christian Church in Bellbrook. Condolences at www.stubbconner.com.
