Walter Ray "Dick" Hauser
Age 86, of Oregonia, passed away Thursday, August 2, 2007 at Bethesda North Hospital, Cincinnati. Dick was born March 9, 1921 in Monroe, Ohio to the late Kenneth (Ashton) Hauser and the late Christian Hauser. Dick met his future bride while working in the wheat fields on their family farm. After marrying, they raised seven wonderful children together. He retired from Fort Ancient State Park after 21 years where he worked as the Park Manager. Dick was a member of the Olive Branch United Methodist Church, Oregonia, and formerly a member of Winton Rd. First Church of God, Fairfield. He was preceded in death by his parents, sons-in-law Dick Koch and Gene Petrey, great granddaughter Ashley, brother & sister-in-law Homer & Helen Hauser, brother and sister-in-law Ralph & Hildred Hauser, brother Arthur Hauser, sister Marjorie Thompson, and sister-in-law Sarah Hauser. Dick is survived by his loving wife of 68 years Opal (Roberts) Hauser, daughter Linda Petrey of Lebanon, daughter Kathy and her husband Steve Conner of Waynesville, son Ted and his wife Donna Hauser of Lebanon, son Roy and his wife Linda Hauser of West Chester, son Chris and his wife Sandy Hauser of West Chester, daughter Carol Hauser of Novi, Michigan, son Jim and his wife Sharon Hauser of Middletown, 14 grandchildren Jeff, Becky, Steve & his wife Leah, Brian & his wife Donna, Tonya & her husband John, Brad & his wife Missy, Tammy & her husband Chad, Josh & his wife Nicky, Amanda & her husband Jarrod, Jessica & her husband Wes, Chrystal, Tia, Jennifer, & Samantha, 16 great grandchildren Nickolas, Zachary, Hannah, Elizabeth, Mackenzie, Addison, Brydon, Erica, Kyle, Carly, Wesley, Jamie, Marissa, Bryson, Zoe, and Gracie, brother Elmer Hauser of Florida, brother Donald & his wife Barbara Hauser of Franklin, sister Juanita & her husband Bill Baker of Middletown, sister Maxine Hinkle of Camden, & many nieces, nephews and friends. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm, Tuesday, August 7 at Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home, 185 N. Main St., Waynesville. Funeral services 10:00 am Wednesday at the funeral home. Pastors Brian Buriff & Ann Myers will be officiating. Interment in Miami Cemetery.
