Wanda L. Gahwiller's Obituary
Wanda Lee Gahwiller, 83 of Rapid City, South Dakota went to be a heavenly angel on January 1, 2018.
She was born on March 2, 1934 in Atlanta, Ohio to William Hoesa and Velma Wheeler. She was married to Luther A Perry Sr. and they had three children: Pamela Sue, Cynthia Ann and Luther A Perry Jr
In the late 70’s, Wanda and the kids moved to Rapid City, SD where her brother and sister in law were residing. Wanda continued to live in Rapid City and in her own apartment until recently when she went to the Custer Regional Senior Care. Wanda was proud of the fact that when she moved to Rapid City, she was employed at Landstrom’s Original Black Hills Gold Creations and worked there for 18 years before retiring.
Survivors include all three of her children, Pamela, Rapid City, SD; Cynthia, Wilmington, OH; and Luther(Luke), Rapid City, SD; her grandchildren, Karla (James) Cowling, Stanton, NE; Derick Loberg, Omaha, NE; Andrya Adkins, Mason, OH; Angela Adkins, Wilmington, OH; Tyler Perry, Berthoud, CO; and Jarrett Perry, Rapid City, SD. Her great grandchildren: Megan Authier, Omaha, NE; Kiera Frank, Kailyn and Randall Taylor III of Mason, OH; Alexandria Varvel and Kelly Lane of Wilmington, OH; Christian and Quentin Cowling, Stanton, NE. Also 3 sisters and 1 brother, Brenda (Don) Grooms, Rick Jim(Debbie) Wheeler, Beth(Kenny) McNeilan, and Donna Hopkins, all of West Union, OH and numerous nieces and nephews. Also special friends, Mary and Roger Thompson, Wilmington, OH and her ex-husband, Larry Gahwiller of Rapid City, SD.
Funeral services 11 AM Mon. Jan. 8, 2018 at Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home in Waynesville. Dr. Dan Flory will be officiating. Burial will be in Miami Cemetery, Corwin. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service Mon. at the funeral home. Condolences at www.stubbsconner.com.
