Wayne Taylor's Obituary
TAYLOR, Wayne, age 61, of Springboro passed away Sat. Nov. 12, 2011 at Miami Valley Hospital. Wayne graduated from Waynesville High School, class of '68, received his bachelor's degree from Cumberland College and a master's degree from Miami University in Oxford. The art supervisor at Kettering City Schools, he retired in 2006 after 32 years of service. He was the praise leader at Faith Alive Church in Ridgeville. A member of the Miami Art Guild, he also enjoyed art, playing guitar, singing in church, the outdoors, riding his bike with his brother, photography, and going to movies with his boys. He was preceded in death by his parents Floyd and Bessie Taylor. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Mimi, two sons Nathan (Alyssa) Taylor and Brent (Stephanie) Taylor, one brother Charles (Carol) Taylor, and his sister Maxine (Wendell) Holt. Funeral services 1 PM Wed. Nov. 16 at Faith Alive Church 946 E. Lower Springboro Rd. Springboro, OH. Pastor Michael Rhodehamel officiating. Burial Miami Cemetery, Corwin. The family will receive friends 4-8 PM Tues. at Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home, Waynesville. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
