Willard "Bill" R. Hadley's Obituary
HADLEY, Willard “Bill” R. Jr., age 73, of Franklin and formerly of Waynesville, passed away Sun., Jan. 19, 2020 at the Atrium Medical Center in Middletown.
Bill graduated from Springboro High School, class of ’66. He owned and operated Bill’s Electric & Etc. for more than 40 years throughout Waynesville and the surrounding area. He completed the electrical wiring for the Waynesville Sauerkraut Festival for 35 years, always saying that he would let someone else do it the following year and then looking forward to the job as it approached the next year. He was also a member of the Waynesville Chamber of Commerce for the past 35 years. In addition, he was a faithful member of the New Freedom Church in Lebanon.
Quite the story teller, Bill enjoyed talking and making people laugh. When he was younger, he enjoyed racing cars and going to Kil-Kare Raceway in Xenia. Over the years, he also enjoyed boating, his animals, and attending tractor pulls and tractor shows. He was quite the workaholic and it made him happy to be able to help others. Among many things, he will be remembered for his love of Esther Price Chocolate, Hostess Chocolate CupCakes, and visiting Taco Bell every Sunday after church with his wife.
He was preceded in death by his parents Willard and Evelyn Hadley. He is survived by his wife, Sandra, together 12 years; three daughters Melissa (Kirk) Stiver, Janelle Hadley, and Kathrine Hadley; four step children Deborah Pennington, Jennifer (Scott) Favorite, Stephen Meador, and Eric Meador; four grandchildren Destiny (Justin) Richie, Matthew Brush, Isaiah Brush, and Noah Brush; 10 step grandchildren; two great grandchildren Shane and Cameron; seven step great grandchildren; one brother Dan Hadley; and one sister Crystal Baumann.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM Mon., Jan. 27 at Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home in Waynesville. Burial will be in Miami Cemetery, Corwin. Pastor Joe Shutts will be officiating. The family will receive friends 5-8 PM Sun. at the funeral home. If desired, contributions may be made to Crossroads Hospice. Condolences at www.stubbsconner.com.
