Willard E. Perdue Jr.'s Obituary
PERDUE, Willard E., Jr, age 67, of Waynesville and formerly of Gibsonton, FL, passed away Saturday, August 8, 2020 at his residence.
Willard earned a mechanic certificate from Denver’s Mechanical Engineer School. He retired after numerous years of being a heavy equipment mechanic and a truck driver. Willard was a member of the Waynesville Son’s of the American Legion Post 615 (SAL). He was a jack-of-all- trades, who was a hard worker and would do anything for anyone. As an outgoing individual, he was liked by everyone for being so kind-hearted.
He was preceded in death by his father Willard E. Perdue, Sr. He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Linda Perdue; one son Jeremy Perdue; one stepdaughter Heather (Jeff) Miller; two grandsons Jaxon Perdue and Peyton Miller; one granddaughter Laila Miller; his mother Anita Mae Perdue; and one sister Gwendolyn (Dale) Harris.
A celebration of life service will be held 4 PM Sat. August 15, 2020 at the Waynesville American Legion Post 615. Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home in Waynesville is serving the family. Condolences at www.stubbsconner.com.
