William "Bill" C. Smith's Obituary
SMITH, William C. age 68, of Clarksville, passed away Fri. Dec. 8, 2017 at his residence.
Bill retired from Ford Motor Company in 2007 after 35 years of service. He was a member of the Hanselmann Masonic Lodge #208 in Cincinnati and the Scottish Rite Valley of Cincinnati.
Quite the storyteller, Bill could strike up a conversation and make a lifelong friend with anyone. He would always say what was on his mind, and if you met him, you would never forget him. He greatly enjoyed attending car shows and working on cars. He was very proud of the ’55 Chevy he restored. He also enjoyed playing his guitar in his spare time.
He was preceded in death by his parents Hubert and Maurine Smith. He is survived by his significant other of 11 years, Melody; four children Billie (Andy) Blankenbeckler, Shelley (Ron) Morton, Melanie (David) Howard, and Jeremy (Lisa) Smith; 14 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; one brother Hubert Jr. Smith; three sisters Brenda (Greg) Stephens, Loretta Philbin, and Pam (Elwood) Pottorf; and the mother of his children, Phyllis Toler.
The family will receive friends 5-8 PM Wed. at Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home, Waynesville. Funeral services 11 AM Thurs. Dec. 14 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Miami Cemetery, Corwin. The family invites those planning to attend the funeral, who own a classic car, to drive their car in support of Bill in the funeral procession. Condolences at www.stubbsconner.com.
