William Dean Meade's Obituary
MEADE, William Dean, age 66, of Waynesville, passed away Thurs. Dec. 21, 2017 at his residence.
William was a Vietnam Air Force veteran. He retired from GM in 2001 after 31 years of service.
A Harley man, Dean greatly enjoyed building decks and gazebos, playing bass and guitar, and cutting coins. He loved the many trips he made to coin conventions and shows. Quite the jokester, he loved having fun and making people laugh. He especially liked Halloween and dressing up like Santa during Christmas time.
He was preceded in death by his mother Zora Lee Meade. He is survived by his wife, Leah; two daughters Angela (Davis) Hawkins and Terri Ann Duncan; son Shawn (Christine) Sage; a host of other adopted daughters; three grandchildren Nicholas, Brooklynn, and Tesia; his father Robert Meade; two brothers Gene Meade and Larry (Nancy) Meade; one sister Robin (Mike) Watkins; and a host of nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held 7 PM Fri. Dec. 29 at Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home in Waynesville. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service Fri. at the funeral home. Condolences at www.stubbsconner.com.
