Wilma J Warman's Obituary
Wilma J. Warman, age 89, passed away peacefully Thurs, April 4, 2013, in Middletown. She was born to Tom and Minnie Welch on Nov 28, 1923, in Fort Dodge, Iowa. The family moved to Harveysburg in 1939, where she graduated from high school in 1941, and later from Middletown Business College. Wilma was preceded in death by her loving parents, her husband Bill, daughter Bonnie, and her brother Paul T. Welch. She is survived be her sons Tom (Angie) Thornbury of California, Tim (Diane) Thornbury of Tipp City, daughters Pamela (Dennis) Wehby of Spring Valley, Melody (Roger) Hubley of Mason, step sons Scott (Ruthanne) Warman and Jim Warman of Middletown, 13 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, her sister Dorothy Linkous of Lebanon, and many nieces and nephews. Wilma lived in Harveysburg, Lebanon, and Middletown. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Middletown. Wilma was a bookkeeper, worked at Elder Beerman, was a volunteer for Middletown Regional Hospital for nearly 20 years, and was a member of the Middletown Postal Auxiliary. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who loved raising flowers, reading, traveling, and baking. Most of all, she enjoyed being with her family. Wilma will be greatly missed as she begins her eternal life in heaven. The family wishes to thank the staff of Hospice and the staff at The Inn at Renaissance Village (where she resided for 3 years) for their loving care. Visitation will be Mon., April 8 from 11 am- 12 pm at Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home, Waynesville, with funeral services immediately following. Condolences at www.stubbsconner.com.
