Arthur "Frank" Powell was one heck of a trooper. A down home boy who loved family, work and hunting. A crew of locals never missed a spring of mushroom hunting in Morgan Co. Ohio and up state Michigan. With Kenny Bradley and Frank with their black cigars, along with Jerry Bradley, Bill Rickey and myself, we tromped the woods with our trusty sticks and harvested hundreds of tasty morels. Frank kept us all entertained with his many stories and hunting. All were repeated year after year and each time enjoyed as much as the first year. Frank loved Southeast Ohio and the hunting fields. Frank never lacked for cousins or other relations and friends from that part of Ohio. Frank was a very proud person and had a wonderful work ethic.
Frank was loved and respected by all. He will be missed but long remembered. A good person and a fair, honest and great sport. God rest you, Frank. You have left a helluva footprint.##imported-begin##Richard Sheehan##imported-end##
