Ashley N. Bowers' Obituary
BOWERS, Ashley N., age 43, of Lebanon, passed away Sunday, January 30, 2022, at Grandview Hospital.
Ashley graduated from Springboro High School in 1998. She loved interacting with people and greatly enjoyed her many jobs over the years. She worked many years at Goodwill and Wendy’s, several years for Panera Bread and Steak & Shake, and recently at Frisch’s. In addition, she was a longstanding member of the Centerville Community Church.
Joyful, outgoing, exuberant, thoughtful, kind, and tenderhearted, Ashley had a bubbly personality and a big bright smile. She also had a nurturing personality and loved animals, babies, kids, and helping care for others. During her younger days, she greatly enjoyed attending several proms and dances and probably held a record for the number she attended over the years. She was active in Special Olympics and participated in swimming, bowling, soccer, and basketball. She loved movies and had quite the collection, especially Disney and Christmas-related movies, with Frozen being one of her favorites. In addition, Ashley enjoyed worship music, praising the Lord, and especially singing to her favorite Whitney Houston songs. Among many things, she will be remembered for how much she enjoyed going places with her family, friends, and staff at her group home. The trips she took to Dale Hollow Lake with family will always be remembered fondly as some of the best memories she made with others. She was eloquently named “Tubing Queen” for how much she loved being pulled around the lake during those adventurous and thrilling rides on the lake.
She was preceded in death by a niece Ava Bowers. She is survived by her loving parents, Jack and Becky Bowers; sister Angie Bowers; brother Jack A. (Amy) Bowers; niece Claire Bowers; two nephews Brennen and Declan Bowers; and several aunts, uncles, and numerous cousins, extended family members, and lots of close friends.
The family will receive friends 10:30 AM - 12:00 PM Saturday, February 5 at Centerville Community Church. A funeral service will immediately follow the visitation at Noon on Saturday at the church. Pastor Kedrick Hirschy and pastor Keith Mackintosh will be officiating. Burial will be in Miami Cemetery, Corwin. Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home in Waynesville is serving the family. If desired, contributions may be made to the Miami Valley Down Syndrome Association, Miami Valley Womens Center and/or Centerville Community Church. Condolences at www.stubbsconner.com.
