Barb I am so sorry for your loss!! I am sorry I couldn't make the services! She was such a blessing. You guys didn't have much growing up but she always done her best to make sure you were loved and did the best she could. I remember her taking us all skating all the time and on one Tuesday we all got out to her truck and there was a lot of us and the lady that was at the door asked her if all these were her kids and she said no just three and the rest was the neighbor hood kids and that lady was so impressed that she said that from now on, on Tuesday nights she would give her a group discount for all the kids that she brought with her.
I have so many memories of her. She would work long hrs and still put up with all of us. She always had a yard full of kids playing softball and ect... She didn't seem to mind, She always made sure there was snacks for us. I can remember she would keep ice cream bars and popcicles in the freezer for us in the summer. I loved coming to your house. She always made us kids feel at home there. I remember when they had free movie night down in Carlisle and she would take a bunch of us down there and bring all kinds of snacks for us. Most parents wouldn't have put up with all us kids lol like she did.
I remember this one time she had a date picking her up. It was a first date and he came to pick her up and she had a house full of kids sitting in the living rm and when he came in he asked your mom are all these kids yours and she said no actually none of them are mine and she chuckled and said they are just here to check you out. We had done this on so many of her first dates that it was funny. I can not remember where you and Donna and Charlotte were this time but you weren't there there. You should of seen the look on that guys face.
She was always so loving and a very strong women.
I remember she would let you kids have sleep overs and it wasn't just one kid some times a few and all the slumber parties and the birthday parties. You guys were so lucky to have a mom like that. She would help anyone she could. She was the best. When you guys moved off the hill. I think the hill suffered. I had so much fun up there with you guys!! I looked up to her as kid and still do! I try to be the same kind of mother she was and those are some really big shoes to fill!! I remember all three of you girls playing on softball teams and most of the time you three were on different teams and having games threw the week and every weekend and helping with your grandpas at winery on the weekends on top of that. She was a very busy women and still made time for you kids and your friends!! She was an amazing women!!! I don't know how she did it!! God love her!! She was a true blessing for us all!!
Everything she had went threw and still had a heart of gold!!
She was an angel on earth and now She is in Heaven watching over all of us!!
I love you Barb and your Mom will be greatly missed!! I am here if you need anything!!
