Sandy Mccarren Johnson
Since Cindy's passing, I've had the sad remembrance of many happy childhood memories. I believe that Cindy was my first real friend. Growing up on the same street, we shared summer days riding our bikes around the 'country mile', sucked Concord grapes at the arbor and played dolls under the big pine tree. We walked to and from school almost everyday talking, laughing and just being, the way friends do. Always more accomplished than I was, we sat together in band and sang together in the choir. She always set a higher standard and was a good role model. Cindy was fun, smart, loyal and pretty. She and the entire Johnston family are many of the best memories I keep from my growing up years. My heart goes out to all of you. I trust your treasured memories will bring you peace.
