I had the privilege of taking care of Ed for many years as one of his nurses, and he quickly became one of my most favorite patients. He ALWAYS wanted to know how my kids were, and wanted to hear about what milestones our new granddaughter was reaching and always asked if I had any new pictures of her when he would come in. When I bought my first motorcycle a couple of years ago, he was very concerned (even though we got to hear all about his Indian) and insisted that I take the Harley Davidson Safe Rider Course. When I passed he was SO excited. One thing was certain in having had multiple lengthy conversations with Ed over the years, was that his family was SO very important to him. We always got to hear what Grant was doing and he just loved so much being a grandpa. If you were someone special to Ed, he made sure you knew it! Sending you all lots of love, hugs and prayers---he was one of a kind and we will miss him.
