Eddie was a great person and I valued the time that I knew him. What happened to him was tragic but I truly believe that he is in a better place now. R.I.P. Eddie Greenway, you are missed by your family and friends. I am sorry I couldn't make it to your funeral but being in the Navy, it's hard to request leave in such a short time. I will pray for you and your family from Jacksonville.

Mrs. Hice and family,
Eddie was such a delightful student in my class. We had many conversations about being a teen dad, his future plans after high school graduation and his love of music. He would stop in daily to say "hi", always had a smile on his face and loved telling a story. In class, he was respectful of others and made others laugh. Shareing four weeks of speech class with Eddie, I had only just begun to know him. Yet, it was certainly enough to know how kind he was. The speech he gave in class was memorable and showed a part of his view on the world.
It was a view of peace and maturity, something which he and I share.
I send my blessings and best wishes to all who knew him and will miss him. I am sure he put smiles on a lot of faces, please remember those good feelings and smiles he gave to you.
