I remember my Uncle George with loving memories. As a child I have fond memories of him always being upbeat, happy, full of joy and a smile on his face all the time. We shared the same birth date.
As an adult, I stayed with him, when he was in London, when I ran the London marathon. He was so happy I stayed with him. The night before the marathon we had popcorn and a glass of Sherri. Later I also found out that he had called my mother, Jean (Wentler) Lindgens to express his happiness that I had stayed with him.
He and I were also kindred spirits of a shared affiliation. In Christian love, and in that shared affiliation I know that he was met at the pearly gates of heaven where the Great Architect of the Universe, He who sitteth as judge supreme, greeted him with the following: “Well done, good and faithful servant, enter thou into the joy of thy Lord.”
May God bless each of you during this time and rest in the fact that we will all be rejoined and as him in heaven.
Love
