Glenda was a wonderful woman, and I feel so blessed to have known her since childhood as the grandmother of my best friend.
I have so many cherished memories of her throughout the different seasons of my life. I remember visiting her home as a teenager. As a young adult, she and Don rented a home to my mom and me. As the years went on, she continued to be a source of kindness and encouragement, sending me thoughtful cards in the mail and sweet messages on Facebook to remind me that I was loved, especially during life's hardest moments.
She would often tell me how special it was that I had three daughters, just as she did. One of my favorite memories is when my girls were little and she invited them over for a "princess" sleepover. It was such a sweet experience, and my daughters and I will never forget the love, warmth, and gentle spirit that Glenda shared with everyone around her.
I find comfort in knowing she is rejoicing in heaven today. She leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness that touched so many lives. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
