James "Jim" Harold Randall's Obituary
RANDALL, James “Jim” H., age 92, of Oakwood and formerly of Bellbrook, passed away Friday, April 25, 2025.
Jim graduated from Kiser High School. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree and a Master’s Degree, both with a focus on Electrical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati. He worked for more than 25 years as a product manager at NCR and 10 years at Reynolds & Reynolds.
With deep faith in God, Jim was a dedicated member of Parkview Church of the Nazarene. His family helped establish Parkview many years ago, which resulted in a lifetime commitment to the church and the congregation. Over the years, Jim served as a board member, Sunday School superintendent and teacher, finance and music director, and building committee member for his beloved church. In addition, he served on the Southwestern Nazarene District (SWO) Advisory Board, the Mt. Vernon Nazarene University board, and countless other related organizations.
Family-oriented, humble, selfless, friendly, wise, respected, faithful, and dependable, Jim was full of Godly wisdom and would rather be known as a servant of the Lord than for his accomplishments. He was a true student of the Bible and spent a lengthy part of each day praying, studying, and journaling God’s word. His walk with the Lord defined his life. He never missed a church service and insisted that his funeral service not be about him, but about the Lord.
He was an accomplished pianist who enjoyed playing for church services and church events. He was also quite the handyman and was comfortable handling almost any building project. Vacationing with his family on Manitoulin Island, Canada, was his favorite annual summer tradition, which started when he was a young boy and continued for many years.
Boating was also a favorite hobby for Jim and the family, which he enjoyed locally and during those yearly trips to Manitoulin Island. Among his other cherished traditions was an annual trip to Venice, Florida, to visit his dad. In addition, Jim, Pi, and longtime friends from church, enjoyed yearly trips to reconnect with each other. These trips often took place in various locations like Gatlinburg, Tennessee, or Branson, Missouri, and always created fond memories and lots of fun.
Jim was preceded in death by his wife, Martha “Pi” Randall, in 2018; his parents, Harold and Anna Faye Randall; and his two sisters, Patricia Dyer and JoAnn Kammer. He is survived by two sons, Craig (Lisa) Randall and Keith (Melissa) Randall; daughter, Lisa (Dan) Cahall; eight grandchildren, Michelle (Michael) Meals, Lindsey Ouimet, Tara Randall, Heather (Josh) O’Hair, Logan Randall, Jennifer Cahall, Parris Cahall, and London Cahall; and six great-grandchildren, Evan, Henry, Jack, Brooklyn, Brynn, and Sutton.
The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 AM on Saturday, May 31, at Parkview Church of the Nazarene. A memorial service will immediately follow the visitation at 11 AM, officiated by Pastor Ron Reynolds. Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home in Waynesville is serving the family. If desired, contributions may be made to Parkview Church of the Nazarene. Condolences can be shared at www.stubbsconner.com.
