Jimmy R. Rayburn's Obituary
Rayburn, Jimmy R., age 78, of Springboro and formerly of Tipp City and Huber Heights, passed away Friday, August 14, 2020 at the Middletown Atrium Medical Center.
Jimmy was a Vietnam Air Force veteran and a lifetime member of AMVETS. He retired from UPS in 1996 as a manager with nearly 20 years of service to the company.
Kind, giving, generous, resilient, and occasionally strong-willed, Jimmy was family oriented and a true Texan at heart - having grown up down in Texas. His favorite pastime was fishing with the grandkids. In his earlier years, the family camping trips to Kiser Lake in Ohio and Dale Hollow Lake in Kentucky and Tennessee were some of his favorite memories.
He was preceded in death by his parents Roy and Eva Mae Rayburn; one brother Jack Rayburn; and one sister Jan Woods. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Donna; two daughters Renee McGillivary and Kimberly Bentz; six grandchildren Jenna, Noah, and Nathan McGillivary, Cassidy Rayburn, and Colin and Austin Bentz; great grandson Asher; four brothers Tommy, George, Kenny, and Dale Rayburn; and three sisters Margaret Judson, Dee Rayburn, and Linda Cunningham.
