I sit here with a heavy heart wondering what I want to say about Papaw... and I don't even know where to start. Papaw was probably the happiest, most fun loving jolly person I have ever met in my entire life. I never saw him without a smile on his face. He was more than just my friends' father, he was like a grandfather to my kids from the time they were babies, from bouncing Allison on his knee while giving her tootsie rolls and telling her stories to fishing with the kids at the fishing club and sooooo many more things in between. He had a zest for life like no other. His smile and laughter was contagious to all those around him, he had an awesome sense of humor. Never once did I see him without being embraced in a hug and being called "angel". He loved his kids and grandkids with all his heart and God Bless Mamaw for puttin up with his shenanigans for 60 years! He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. Heaven definitely gained a one of a kind angel!!!
