Joe C. Yount's Obituary
YOUNT, Joe C. age 79 of Huber Heights passed away Tues. May 14, 2013. Joe was a Korean Conflict Navy veteran and he retired from GM after 33 years of service. He was a member of the VFW Post 3283, Amercian Legion Post 200, 40 & 8, Cactus John's Sports Club all in Huber Heights, and the Elm Valley Fishing Club. An avid golfer and fast pitch softball player, Joe was part of many Dayton championship fast pitch softball teams. He was preceded in death by one daughter Jenny Ryan, his parents Bert and Carrie Yount, and two brothers Martin and Earnest Yount. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, JoAnn; two sons Joe (Stephanie) and Jerome (Sally) Yount; daughter Judi (David) Manning; 15 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren with one on the way; and one brother John (Phyllis) Yount. Funeral services 2 PM Fri. May 17 at Marker & Heller Funeral Home, Huber Heights with reception to follow at the VFW in Huber Heights. Burial will be in Willow View Cemetery. The family will receive friends Noon-2 PM Fri. at Marker & Heller Funeral Home. Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home, Waynesville is in charge of the arrangements. Joe had a contagious spirit, a welcoming smile, and was a great family man who loved spending time with family and friends. He will be missed by many but his spirit will "shine" on forever.
