Churchill Downs, the Derby, and Oaks have lost a great fan and player. We really got to know John through horse racing over the years. His humor, stories, and positive outlook were always enjoyed. He embraced life in so many ways from his family, his profession, and the world of sports. Our lives have been touched in a good way by this man. Unfair as it seems for a life to end so soon, God must have had a different plan for John all along. We are consoled by the knowledge he suffers no longer, a blessing for sure.
