Joyce and I were neighbors growing up. She lived on Township Line Road and I lived on the corner of Township Line and Harlan Road. My clearest memory of Joyce is when I spent New Year's Eve at her house when we were about 13. She put on the Woodstock album and, dancing and laughing, we listened to the whole record from beginning to end. (I think she had gotten it for Christmas--little did her parents know!) We were especially taken with the fish cheer...well, I was taken aback and Joyce just took it in stride. I also remember her teaching me to dance to "Kiss Him Goodbye". She was cool!
My condolences to the England family and Joyce's daughter. Joyce and I had not been in touch for many years, but I have fond thoughts of her and her family. Rest in peace, Joyce.
