Karin S. Longacre-Taylor's Obituary
LONGACRE-TAYLOR, Karin S., age 69, of Lebanon, passed away Saturday, August 15, 2020 at Hospice of Southwest Ohio in Madeira.
Karin graduated from Waynesville High School, class of ’69. She worked several years in several convenience related stores, most notably as a district training manager for Circle K in Reading (Cincinnati).
Outgoing, bubbly, forgiving, generous, and loyal, Karin could be matter-of-fact when she had something to say, but would do anything to help others when needed. She loved arts and crafts, specifically wood burning, wood carving, sewing, etc. She collected a little bit of everything, with items that were odd or uncommon being her favorites. Over the last several years, playing the slots at Miami Valley Gaming and other gambling establishments became a favorite pastime. When she was younger, she greatly enjoyed camping trips with family on the banks of Caesar Creek Lake and the Little Miami River. Among many things, she will be remembered for her love of the springtime, driving through the country smelling the honeysuckle blooms and hunting for morel mushrooms.
She was preceded in death by her parents Keith and Shirley Longacre and one brother Bryan Longacre. She is survived by three sons Gerald Singleton, Victor “Marty” Taylor, and Keith (Rebecca) Taylor; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; two brothers Keith Longacre and David (Rhonda) Longacre; and two sisters Kathy Longacre and Kristy Longacre.
A celebration of life gathering will be held 5 - 8 PM Tuesday, August 25, 2020 at Charlie H. Morgan Jr. Chapel in Miami Cemetery in Corwin. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be to Hospice of Southwest Ohio and/or the charity of your choice in Karin’s memory. Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home in Waynesville is serving the family.
