We always enjoyed going to Uncle Doug’s and Aunt Faye’s place, Aunt Faye always had a glowing aura around her and welcomed us with open arms, hugs, food and shelter if needed when traveling. Did I mention her cooking? Her Mother Minnie could not have been more pleased. I remember telling her many times I am good, I am good but It was hard to turn down such good food. Her desserts were the best no matter which one you chose, especially those fried apples! Enjoyed the Bible being opened on the dining table and the stories. Some stories were about her parents and siblings when they we growing up, when her and Uncle Doug got married and went to San Antonio, Texas for the honeymoon. She loved each one of her kids equally! She loved all and we all will always love you Aunt Faye. Precious memories, till we meet again. Jerry Michael Starns
I remember my Aunt Faye as being kind and loving. When we would go to visit her and Uncle Doug, it was fun because we would play games, and she would give us treats making sure everyone got their fare share. She had a beautiful smile. I thought she was so lovely. Also, I have fond memories of them visiting us at my family home. There was a sincereness about Aunt Faye that was real. I know she is in her heavenly home with her family that preceded her in death. My thoughts and prayers are with all of the family.

I will always remember working in the garden, canning all the things in the kitchen, learning to sew and striving to make her perfect biscuits & gravy. She would always slip me a piece of candy or a stick of Teaberry gum when no one was looking. Her knowledge of the Bible and her love for the study of angels was amazing. She overcame so many obstacles when she was younger & that fueled her hard working, get 'er done attitude. She knew how to love each of us in her own way & give us a woopin' when we acted up, my brother, Terry Jr got most of the woopins!
I'll miss my sweet "Mamaw Faye" & it's truly an honor to share her middle name - my mom & my girls also do!
