Please accept my condolences for your loss. Mrs. Paine was my first grade teacher in 1960. She was a fine teacher and a very kind woman. She is the one who taught us to read. She also once showed me that I could write each number from 1-1000 as punishment for talking while she was trying to teach. I remember when she was teaching us about how years are numbered that she told us that in the year 2000 we would be 46 years old and that she would probably not see it. I am glad that she got to enjoy a number of years in this millennium. I am certain that there are a great many like me who count themselves lucky to have had her touch their lives. I give thanks to have known her and pray for the comfort of her family and friends.
