Marilyn E. Whitsel's Obituary
WHITSEL, Marilyn E. age 66, of Waynesville, passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at Hospice of Butler/Warren County.
A joy to be around, Marilyn was a generous, kind, loving, giving, and thoughtful lady. She became known for her encouraging ways, even making gifts for other patients while she was receiving chemotherapy treatments. She greatly enjoyed flower gardening, the outdoors, crafts, and especially spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She had a deep faith in God and was a faithful member of Urbancrest Baptist Church in Lebanon. She worked over 20 years at Wayne Local School in Waynesville.
She was preceded in death by one grandson Brody and her parents Carl and Eleanor Adams. She is survived by six children John, Jeremiah (Amy), Jacob (Karrie), Joseph and Joy Whitsel and Jill (Cliff) Ard; nine grandchildren Reece, Michael, Connor, Annalise, Jackson, Natalie, Ezra, Evelyn, and Piper; one sister Patricia (Tim) Hemmrick; and nephew Tony Katros.
The family will receive friends 2:00 PM - 4:30 PM Sunday, February 4 at Urbancrest Baptist Church, Lebanon. Funeral services will immediately follow the visitation at 4:30 PM Sunday at Urbancrest Baptist Church. Pastor Tom Pendergrass will be officiating. Graveside services will be held 2 PM Monday, February 5 at Royal Oak Memorial Gardens in Brookville. Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home in Waynesville will be serving the family.
