Working in nursing care, you meet many wonderful people, but every so often someone leaves a lasting imprint on your heart. That was certainly true for Jojo.
It was a privilege to care for her and getting to know the person behind the resident. Her stories, personality, and presence brought warmth to me and so many days. Whether through a smile, a conversation, or simply spending time with her, Jojo made a difference in the lives of those around her.
I became quite attached to her over the time we shared together, and I will always cherish those memories. They remind me of why I chose this profession - to connect with people, learn from them, and becoming a part of their journey.
My thoughts and prayers are with Jojo's family and loved ones during this difficult time. Please know that Jojo was cared for deeply and will be remembered fondly by those of us who had the privilege of knowing her.

I remember Mrs. Newland from my taking an adult class at the WCCC in 1987-88. She was a very warm and caring person. We all loved her. May blessings of peace, love and healing be with all of her family during this time. ☦️🙏
