Ralph Dean Crockett's Obituary
CROCKETT, Ralph Dean, age 97, of Waynesville, passed away Thursday, December 22, 2022, at his residence.
Ralph proudly served in the United States Navy during WWII. He retired from GM (Delco Moraine) in 1959 after 30 years of service to the company.
Outgoing, fun-loving, and helpful, Ralph was a friend to all who knew him. Many people got to know him when they needed their mower or other lawn-related pieces of machinery repaired. He became known in the area for being able to fix just about anything. He also enjoyed vegetable gardening for many years.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara, this past April; one son, Ronald Crockett; his parents, Dean and Velva Crockett; one brother, Hubert Crockett; and his sister, Cecil Wright. He is survived by his daughter, Barbara Griffin; daughter-in-law, Kitty Crockett; two grandchildren, Ronda Hancock and Ryan Lovett (and his family); three great-grandchildren, Halen, Brailey, and London; and one brother, Gene Crockett.
The family will receive friends from 11 AM to Noon Thursday, December 29, at Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home in Waynesville. A graveside service will follow at 12:30 PM Thursday at Miami Cemetery. Celebrant Katie Mackoway will be officiating the services.
The family would like to thank Hospice of the Miami Valley and all of the wonderful caregivers who assisted with the care of Ralph and Barbara. Condolences at www.stubbsconner.com.
