Dear Diana, Charlie and Sally
We are so sorry for your loss. It is always difficult to lose a loved one but especially at a holiday. We lost mom at Thanksgiving 13 years ago. We have such good memories of your parents and and our times together and those good memories get us through. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.##imported-begin##Diana, Anita and Jeremy LeVan##imported-end##
Our thoughts, prayers and blessings is extended to the fmaily of my good friend Ray Miller. Margery and I have many wonderfull memories, such as he was always in church and sit in the same place. We enjoyed playing cards with him, and enjoyed the laughter.
He made us a wood deer, which is standing on our front porch and he has not as yet run away. It is a constant reminder of Ray a good man and friend. It was a great experience to be his pastor.
Love and blessings to all family members. Pastor J. Brooks and Margery Gregory
P.S. Thanks Diana for your e-mails.##imported-begin##Brooks##imported-end##

Diana, Sally and Charlie,
We were saddened to learn of your father's passing. We are happy he was surrounded by loving family for the celebration of his birthday. All of you are in our thoughts and prayers in this time of celebration of a life well-lived.
I have many wonderful memories of Uncle Ray--of squirrel hunting although I think I made enough noise that we didn't get any,of bringing in a fine Christmas tree that filled the vestibule in the wonderful "Meredith" house on the corner, of countless batches of delicious hand-cranked ice cream, of playing near the railroad when Ray and Anna Marilyn lived in Lytle, of catching huge numbers of yellow belly catfish using crickets for bait, of boatrides and picnics, of being given a job in Miller's Department Store during a Christmas season when I needed to earn some money for college--even though the cost of feeding me probably far exceeded my value as an employee, of Ray protecting me from a bantam rooster as I attempted as a five year old to gather eggs at his family farm, of his amazing ability to squirt milk into the mouth of a cat without missing a stroke while milking, of his patience teaching me how to buid tissue paper covered flying model airplanes. of many evenings of playing hearts, canasta, hand and foot and other family card games.
Uncle Ray was a kind and gentle man. I cannot recall him ever losing his temper even under great provocation. Waynesville is a better place today because Ray helped make it a community in the truest sense.
Cheryl and I are glad we were able to visit with Ray and parts of our family last summer. These memories are a small part of Ray's heritage. Blessings on each of you.
