Ray Miller's Obituary
MILLER, Ernest Ray, age 84, of Waynesville, went to be with the Lord on Wed. Nov. 25. Ray owned and operated Miller's Department Store in Waynesville for 25 years. He was a member of the Waynesville United Methodist Church, served as captain of the Wayne Township Fire Dept. for 25 years, and was a retired rural carrier for the Waynesville Post Office. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alice Trickey Sheets and Charles Haines Miller, his loving wife of 63 years, Anna Marilyn, an infant son, Harold, and three sisters, Lois Marshall, Charlotte Jordan, and Margaret Vance. He is survived by a son, Charlie (Karen), two daughters, Diana (Ed) Miller and Sallie Dalton, seven grandchildren, Jeff, Mike, and David Miller, Scott and Todd Sollar, RaeAnna Miller Wieland and Joanna Miller, eight great grandchildren, five step-great grandchildren and one brother, Gene Miller. Ray was a wonderful husband, dad, and grandpa and will always be remembered for his caring heart and love of life. Funeral services 10:30 AM Tues. Dec. 1 at the Waynesville United Methodist Church. Pastors Tammy Jo Reiser and Brian Blankenship officiating. Burial Miami Cemetery, Corwin. The family will receive friends 5-8 PM Mon. at Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home, Waynesville.
