Russell Eugene "Gene" Burnett's Obituary
BURNETT, Russell Eugene “Gene” age 97 of Lebanon passed away Thurs. October 1, 2020 at Ohio Living Quaker Heights in Waynesville.
Russell graduated from Springboro High School, class of 1941. He was a WWII Army veteran. He retired from NCR in 1978, after 37 years of service. Upon retiring, he went to work on the family farm and he greatly enjoyed working alongside his son. He was a member of the Ridgeville Community Church for many years. In his younger years, he greatly enjoyed trap shooting. He was a member of the Waynesville Masonic Lodge and was a patron of the Waynesville Chapter of the Eastern Stars.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie Jean, in 2011; daughter-in-law Nancy Burnett; parents Russell and Zelma Burnett; two brothers Jack Burnett and James Burnett; and one sister Eilene Smith. He is survived by two sons Dale Burnett and Don (Sharon) Burnett and one grandson Jeremy Burnett.
