Bro. Terry E. Hignite's Obituary
HIGNITE, Bro. Terry E., age 68, of Franklin and formerly of Mt. Holly, passed away Wed. May 15, 2019 at Hospice of Dayton.
Bro. Terry received a Master’s Degree from Temple Baptist College. From 1970 until 1986, he worked as a music minister and ordained pastor in several Southern Baptist churches in southwest Ohio. From 1985 to the present, he owned his own remodeling and construction business.
Sarcastic, intelligent, and mechanically inclined, Bro. Terry was quite the jokester and found the humor in everything. Described as a word magician and a scholar on the word of God, he enjoyed learning and advancing his education in religion and history. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and working on cars. He had a special appreciation for old cars.
He is survived by two sons Todd E. Hignite and Tytus K. (Kelly) Hignite; three grandchildren Mason, Ella, and Amelia; his parents Roy and Bobbie Jean Hignite; two brothers Taylor (Jodie) Hignite and Tracy (Jeanie) Hignite; and two nieces Stephanie Hardy and Kelsie Cain.
