I was saddened to hear of Wendell’s passing.

For many years, he and I were friendly competitors for reappraisal and software systems clients in Pennsylvania. Although rivals, I found him to be warm, friendly and a very generous individual. On several occasions he offered me sales advice on business we were both pursuing.

I truly enjoyed talking to him at assessor conferences. When he would tell stories and stretch the truth (as salesmen are prone to do) there was always a twinkle in his eye that told me he didn’t believe what he was saying either – a mark of an honest man.

Wendell was a gentleman and will be missed.

We where deeply saddened by the loss of Wendell. In the time we knew him we grew to respect and enjoy his company. Many mornings when he would come into the office he would bring us breakfast or a treat from Ginger. He was a genuine and compassionate person who always had others best interest at heart. We couldn't have asked for a kinder or more considerate boss. He will be truly missed! To this day I still recall Uncle Wendell bringing me Skittles candy, while I was at Childrens Hospital, at the age of 3. To this day, I still think of Wendell every time I enjoy a bag of Skittles. His heart and love for his family was always as bright as God's greatest rainbow.

Janine (and family),
Becky told me about your dad. I'm so sorry for your loss. Judging by the pictures, he must have been a very loving and fun dad and grandpa.
I wish I could be there in person to give you a hug. I'll try to call, but it's so hard to find a quiet moment when it's not midnight in Ohio.
